Prospects we should probably be talking about a little more

Skipping the bowl game and the post season all star games don’t effect his draft stock at all to me. He was dealing with the ankle sprain and playing limited snaps to finish the season. I’m sure his agent advised him to make sure he was 100% for the pre draft workouts. If anything I think the Lions would appreciate the fact that he was trying to play through the injury.

I don’t think Ruke will go in round 2. I do think he likely finds a suitor in the back end of day 2.

I don’t have rankings but if I did I would imagine Booker and Ruke would be in a similar range.

It matters very little to me either, but I can’t deny that it might matter to our FO. They have yet to draft anyone who skipped a bowl game (save the covid season), and have gone out of their way to praise guys who played in them.

LaPorta for instance tore his meniscus in November of last year, missed their regular season finale to have surgery, then came back for their meaningless bowl game against Kentucky (and played wildcat QB lol). They went out of their way to praise him for it.

My interest in Chop would hinge on Terrell. Personally I’m not sky high on him but if we take him I’ll be excited bc I’ll assume that to mean Terrell was optimistic about his developmental prospects.

I would agree with that. My point was after the football playing was done regular season and senior bowl Booker was viewed by some as a borderline 1st round talent. After the combine testing he drops to borderline day 2 pick. Like Branch there is nothing wrong with just being good at football. Booker don’t need to jump any higher he is young enough that he has the frame to add about 20 lbs of muscle and he will be fine.

Anyone besides Lance? I do remember him showing up on the bottom of top 50 lists. But some of the narrative back then was assigning him high end athleticism. I tend to still think he’s got some juice in between the lines but it makes sense that the workouts had some hitting the breaks. And let’s not ignore that he turned out to not be as freakishly long as was presumed.

I do like him and think he can be a solid starter by 2025/26. If he’s the pick at 73 I’m fine with it though I don’t view that as a best case scenario.

Hmmm, I might have said that after he blew out the testing he would start to be mocked in the 1st. Got a little ahead of myself there.

Lance had him at 14 at one point IIRC

Really? I did not know that. I knew he liked him though.

We’ve got a Reader, so I suppose we have get a Booker… :cowboy_hat_face: :cowboy_hat_face: :cowboy_hat_face:

We do already have a reserve CB that is an E-Book Reader.

That was some fun tape to watch. He’s definitely my type of DB. He’s a fiesty little guy who throws himself around and my favorite quality - he’s always getting his hands where they don’t belong!

How is his Davicus profile with the PFF numbers and the like? (I know you dubbed it something but I’ve already forgotten it smh, you need a marketing team)

Numbers are pretty solid for a late round guy. His run grade is a bit on the edge for guys they’ve picked up, but it’s not TERRIBLE. He’d just be one of those outliers like Jacobs was coming out as a UDFA

Giovanni Manu 6’7 350 lbs, LT from the University of British Columbia

And his bookend teamate

Theo Benedet 6’7 305, RT. Started out as a tightend put on about 50lbs to play tackle.

They are both more fit for a sleeper list I’ve been working on. Manu has a real chance of being drafted, though I think Benedet’s arms are too short to stay at tackle, and I’m not sure he has the anchor to stand up inside.

Sorry if it’s already been discussed but I don’t read every comment. Anyway, what is the deal with Ladarius Henderson? How do you get to be first team All B1G and be slotted so poorly? The last time I saw this it was Alaric Jackson from IOWA who went undrafted and now starts at LT for the Rams.

To me he just never showed the improvement you hoped he would. Tape is littered with mental mistakes that will get a QB killed (especially on twists). Just doesn’t seem all that smart and lacks awareness. Has struggled with playing high, lunging, lowering his head, and getting off-balance for 5 years now, why hasn’t he fixed it?

Great ball of clay overall, but that’s been true for 5 years now. And you have to wonder about the odds of getting anything out of him if the Michigan staff can’t get it out of him.

Henderson moves with average feet, can’t speak on Jackson as his movement skills were always great. Clearly Jackson is an eval the NFL community was dead wrong on

That describes most of the women I dated in my life. But I digress, just wondering how he made first team All B1G with his mo.
