Here is my theory. Davante Adams has finally “hit the wall" that most receivers hit after 30. He is about to turn 33. As the season progresses, the wear and tear on his body will become more evident. When I watch teams playing the Rams, they are paying more attention to Adams than they will need to do later in the season. Smart teams will pick up on it, and things will have a drastic change by the end of the season for the Rams.

First of all it is a Detroit Lions forum so i use Lions players for comparatives.. would it make you feel better if i used someone else? Would that be less of “an insult” for you?
Why does providing context to stats feel like an insult to you? Idk man i also said that he has been fantastic and is being successful in a way that most of the league can’t. To me the context of how much he throws the ball is relevant when we are talking about yardage stats, doesn’t have to be viewed as disparaging. It ain’t that serious.
I’m not insulted at all man i never said i was insulted i dont even know why i would be insulted. You’re free to have any opinions you want. I was halfway joking. I just think its weird whether in this thread or others you always have to try to discredit Stafford’s success. And its the same things over and over again. It’s repetitive. Then you have to throw in a Lion player like you did on the other thread turning it into a Goff vs Stafford thing.
Stafford is having a great season. He always does since he was a Lion. He might be having another record with Puka which is insane. It’s unheard of actrually. I’m very happy for him and I’ll be cheering them on as long as they don’t play us.
We are giving love to him and Puka. And its great. Its like you won’t let them be.
We also love JG and ARSB and all our Lions and if the Rams play the Lions I hope Hutch knocks out Stafford and Branch knocks out Puka.

Nah man we are good, the topic was just the same as the one you had so I was providing the same context.. it isnt deeper than that and yes it was a bit repetitive but so was the topic?
Like I said i only use goff and other Lions players for that context because it is a Lions forum. If you would like me to do it with others I could but it isnt really disparaging to Stafford to say that the dude throws the ball A LOT especially when I follow it up with he is more successful than most in doing so.
Think of it as per game or per attempt stats vs total stats. They exist as a reason to provide context between players, different seasons, game totals, or to discuss overall performance. Doesnt inherently make anyone better or worse it is just a statistical conversation which is what this topic was I thought?
BTW Puka is on track for the most targets and highest target share by a wr in a season.
I will also say that on a per game basis his targets would not be the most difference of the additional game. But I do think it is valid to discuss these things in this topic?
I don’t mean it literally its like me saying i hope we kick their ass! Well, by some of your standards then we have to take away yards and TD’s away from our favorite Lions players. If Gibbs or DMO break some TD record or yards record and they needed 17 games for it I won’t complain. If Goff was going to bnreak records with ARSB and it takes 17 games I won’t complain. I’m cheering it all on. 16 games, 17 games, 18 games whatever. They’re all still hell of accomplishments and these players are still having fantastic seasons. I mean, great for Marvin Harrison.
I’m not going to discredit anyone. I’m going for the ride. Plus, I love Puka as a player and I will always love Stafford. To me he’s same as Barry, and Calvin, and other Lions greats.
This thread seems like it was created to support Matthew and Puka, and give them their credit, and be excited, and have fun with it. But of course you and everyone else are entitled to your opinions. It just seems a little hypocritical. But do you brother! We’re good 
See from a statistical accomplishment and record perspective i do think the number of attempts and the number of games matters. Even if my team is the one doing it.
