Yeah Muti was winning the primary backup swing guard last year before getting hurt. I was thinking mostly about Center only.
Last year Holmes brought in 3 rookie UDFAs (including Eguakun, Clemmons, and Hudson) that were Centers in college trying to find a new young backup just in case.
Eguakun was the only one that made the practice squad. My thought is that he was not a people mover like the rest of the squad. That’s what Evan was as well. He played well in relief of Ragnow 3 years ago but the running game definitely took a step back. I’d expect that with Eguakun.
Rattlege can move the pile. As can Mohagany. they just need reps.
I think Kingsley can move guys in the run game, his size issues come into play more often in pass protection (and even then, while he loses the initial encounter sometimes, he has great recovery skills). He’s got excellent pop in his hands and great grip strength for his size, he’s fiery and aggressive at the snap and was often part of double-teams who reset the LOS. He’s much more powerful than Evan imo. Honestly his biggest issue is he can be a little too aggressive, leading to some straight whiffs on his tape.
It’s just been a long time since I’ve visited at all! But I was on this board way back… geez 2001 maybe… when it was LionsFans. Seems like it has been through a few different iterations and platforms since then.
What I’m wondering is if anyone ever found Alex Smith’s valet that someboy stolen?
