I actually thought it was decent gamble. White was a legit top 10 CB, before these injuries the past 2-3 years.
With that said, there a massive difference is taking a gamble on a torn quad, bum ankle, or even an ACL, than an Achilles tear.
We have had three guys just in recent seasons that just haven’t been the same after an Achilles injury (Okudah, Romeo, Walker).

I never realized that. For some reason he always looked over 6’ to me. That made me go back to his draft profile, and this was said about him at the time:
