Rank the draft picks

Most of us like the draft overall but I am curious how people would rank the picks from favorite to least favorite.

Here’s mine

  1. Williams
  2. Hutch
  3. Joseph
  4. Rodriguez
  5. Mitchell
  6. Lucas
  7. Paschal
  8. Houston

I hope I’m wrong on Paschal, but I just don’t see him being better than average

Mine is actually the order they were drafted

I’ll be SO happy if Hutch can be the DE version of J-Will.
I think J-will can easily be top 3, and I’d be shocked if he wasn’t top 10.

Also - I’m pretty close to on par with where they were drafted too.

Until we see them play, I gotta agree.

I think Mitchell is gonna be HUGE.

For me it’s a 9-way tie between our 8 drafted players and UDFA Demetrius Taylor.

No love for Obinna Eze…???

Eze could Ezely make the team and if he doesn’t, he could work anywhere as the long arm of the law. Does he have enough foot speed? That should be apparent early.

In any case, this is about favorites. I think Taylor’s traits fit perfectly with our “new” defense and I think HolmBell have the cajones to give Taylor the roster spot reserved for coach Michael Brockers if MB sleepwalks through training camp. I’m a visionary, but not all visionaries are created equal…

Decided to watch some of his games… and obviously the UNC game from 2019 is a good place to start when the Kool-Aid is flowing.
Taylor had 2.5 sacks, 2.5 TFLs, an INT, and a FF that he scooped himself and scored.

.
Here is the INT… and he is lined up in a 2-point stance at DE… :eyes:

.

.
The OT cuts him…
.

.

But he jumps back up and tips Howell’s pass up in air…
.

.
and quickly moves to his right to grab the INT. Great play!

Wow, that’s a career game for sure against better competition.

No need to look further. He’s one of those rare UDFAs with no flaws. :grinning:

13 games into the season and here’s how I rank them now:

  1. Williams
  2. Hutch
  3. Joseph
  4. Rodrigo
  5. Houston
  6. Mitchell
  7. Paschal
  8. Lucas

Still hoping to see more out of Paschal to move him up. And I am very optimistic that Williams will be an absolute stud.
