Allgeier will be pricey, and I don’t know that he’ll want to go somewhere with a clear top guy in front of him. That’s what he’s been dealing with in Atlanta, I suspect he goes somewhere with a more open path like Washington or Denver. But you’re right, he’d be a great fit.
Dowdle is also a glove fit, but may have the same issues at Allgeier.
What we need to do is find next year’s versions of Allgeier/Dowdle this year. The Panthers paid peanuts for Dowdle last offseason, we can do that too. Brad found Jamaal Williams for really cheap, that’s the bucket I think we’ll be shopping in.
