The biggest deal to making the playoffs is the amount of revenue that comes into the club. That assumes Illitch doesn’t just sit on the added revenue but uses it to raise the total team payroll next year.

Yes that’s a joke - but at the rate we need pitchers he might be starting soon.
Adding Paddack would be nice if we still had Olson. We really need some short relievers and Paddack has value there.
I really do not understand why we wanted Dobnak. Unless we think he might provide help down the road at some point.
I’m hoping the Tigers do something more for the pitching rotation before the deadline.

My back of the envelope math for last year was about a net 9-11m revenue uplift from the playoff games played by Detroit last year.
Theres a ton of crazy rules on revenue splits with MLB…
