FYI - That article is speculating we’re going to hire him. We maybe getting ahead of ourselves here.
I do expect to see some changes coming in that front office soon and I’m curious to see who they will bring in.

What do you think of the new hires and also the new department of “player wellness”?
Not sure what to make of this myself aside from front office shuffling and identifying new roles. Although the Player Wellness department makes me think they are going to focus on employee engagement and well being… I know “engagement” is a buzz word but, when done correctly it can make a huge difference.
Martin and Corzine bring a bunch of experience and should really help the front office and scouting departments.
The player wellness dept now has 3 employees in it. They seem to be putting a real emphasis on that. After Matt P. this is probably a needed dept but I also think this is a growing trend in football. Player relations are becoming more difficult to manage and having a 3 person dept dedicated to it should help.
My only concern is how these departments work with the coaching staff. Will they help send the same message, or will they become a distraction, or detriment to it?
One thing I do like is that the Lions seem to be more on the cutting edge of how to do things.

In my experience of “employee engagement” i have seen a lot of different approaches, all with the same goal but executed differently… and i don’t know how that would work in a football team setting.
But if they are true to this new structure, everything from the top down should be coinciding and complimentary. So I do hope that questions like “does your manager approach you for feedback?” Are actually being developed and honed for a better top to bottom culture
I want to learn more about thier player wellness division, who runs it, what their goal is, and how they try to attain their goal.

NFL-NFLPA Joint Agreement Supports Behavioral and Mental Health Care
“Under the joint agreement signed in 2019, the NFL and NFLPA formed a Comprehensive Mental Health and Wellness Committee , which develops programs and resources for players, coaches, club personnel and players’ family members regarding mental health and wellness. The agreement also requires each team to retain a Behavioral Health Team Clinician focused on supporting players’ emotional and mental health and well-being. These Clinicians also create and conduct annual team rehearsals of Mental Health Emergency Action Plans.”

I think it’s a great idea, one that might have helped the Titus Youngs and Aldon Smiths. Imagine resources like that for the many people who don’t have rare abilities.

My first take without watching any interviews or any videos… is thinking military
All DOD components have their own variation of a mental health and Substance abuse center … I see them - maybe - going down a similar path as well as organizational structure…
