The NBA hires recently retired players as HCs all the time.
And it rarely works out.
At least Rivers has been coaching at some level.
We got all worked up about an OC hire and Buffalo might go from a HC that is #15 in win percentage in league history to a HS coach.

It’s nuts.
Even with Allen, that situation has become so much more undesirable after the GM power grab. I really doubt a guy like Tomlin would be interested, for instance. Stefanski didn’t seem to blink after it all went down. They’re gonna be left going with less desirable candidates, which is why I think their best best is probably to nab Daboll or Brady, they’re probably still gettable and I doubt they’ll be able to do much better.

Bizarre up in Orchard Park. Maybe Josh has a relationship with Rivers, anyone know? Or just a guy that they think can coach him up?
Josh has to be steering this somewhat, right? Strange that they havent hired Daboll or Brady, who I thought would be good fits. Maybe some friction with both from Josh.

Lol, imagine hiring a coach that could also be an emergency back up at a minimum. Now look for assistant coaches that also work as team doctors, nutritionists, ball boys, etc. The sidelines would be a little less crowded.

With the way that press conference went, it seems like ownership is stepping on toes and the GM has his year… It’s not a great situation IMO. They better hope they can land Kubiak or Flores, otherwise they could fall off a cliff
You have the same degree of confidence in Kubiak as Flores?
Given Kubiak’s family history in coaching, I think there’s a high likelihood that he’s a successful HC… IF he lands in a good spot, so not Cleveland 
I think anybody with Josh Allen as QB is going to have some success. My question is whether they will have McDermott’s level of consistency. Of that I’m doubtful. If it’s Flores I would understand. Maxing out the defense while Allen is still in his prime makes some sense.

Think about denver back up QB situation,every hard work did for the year for a qb who didn’t snap in 700 plus days . Lol I better like the rivers head coach / back up QB option
