Obviously not Lions related but it does matter in the fact they are drafting right ahead of us. Doing a little research on what he was running in Carolina, he really likes hybrid DE/OLB types (Brian Burns, Bruce Irvin). Seems like Chase Young would fit that mold, unfortunately. Still hoping someone blows away the pre draft process like Thomas or Okudah to lure them to Washington. They need an OT for sure.
Sweat and Young could be redundant but I think Rivera would be excited to have both.
I hope the Lions go Thomas or trade down a couple of spots and get Brown if Young is gone.

The underwear Olympics are more likely to help Chase Young than anyone unfortunately. He’ll run a sub 4.6 and everyone will forget that he didn’t have a sack in the bowl game.

I think he played just fine in the bowl game. Don’t forget he was playing against a VERY good football team with a very smart head coach. You line him up against our offensive line and he likely turns Wagner and Decker into pretzels. Clemson did a good job on him, but he did break the all time OSU sack record while missing a couple games against weak opponents.
Very nice hire for skins. Think he can turn them around. Steve Wyche and Daniel Jeremiah think it would make perfect sense for the skins to get CY at number 2 and put him opposite sweat…make their defensive line similar to the niner defensive line.
