Rookie report: Despite redshirt season, Kingsley Eguakun could be key depth

I graded this guy as a future Lion back in March, it was just so clear he had everything we wanted in a player. Leader, nasty, first one in last one to leave type, played through injuries, you name it he checked our boxes. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if we’ve already got Ragnow’s replacement on the roster in this guy.

Big news here. These depth guys are critical. Get him reps now. Give him reps now, esp. @ guard and he might be the Glasgow replacement in 2026. Very solid player development here.

Dane had a fifth round grade on him IIRC. And that was despite the injury plagued year.

Yeah very surprising he fell out of the draft, though I get it. The injury + size concerns aren’t a great combo for an OL. But I thought he held up really well despite the size issues, especially the longer the rep went on. Great recovery strength and athleticism, which is a highly underrated aspect of playing OL. They’re all gonna lose from time to time, it’s how you recover that matters. This is big for Sewell, as you’ve mentioned before.

I’m also think it’s an aspect of Jared mobility issues that actually helps us. A lot easier to recover when you know more or less where you’re QB is going to be and what angle the defender will need to take to get there.

Yeah, you hear OL say that all the time. And you can see the way they throw their hands up sometimes when the QB is running around and essentially runs into a sack. You take the good with the bad with a mobile QB, for sure, though generally the former outweighs the latter. In fact I’d call it more of a silver lining to Jared’s immobility if anything.

Throw Connor Galvin to the top of the pile of possible OL depth in 2025 along with Kingsley. He might could bump Dan Skipper this year. He was playing well prior to his MCL injury.

Goff isn’t immobile -he can run, but he moves like a 60 year old woman when trying to run…to make it worse, he has no speed, burst, juke moves, or swagger when attempting to run.

Detroit must have saw something they liked on tape, because they handed him a hefty $225,000 guaranteed along with a $20,000 signing bonus.

That’s a lot of money for a UDFA. Must like him.

Or Joey Harrington
