You have brought this before
That’s BS
First that fumble was a hell of a hit by the defender
Second, that taunting penalty was BS
He didn’t push the guy or throw anything at him
He just looked back at him
Comparing Gibbs actions to Jamo’s history is such a stretch
And I’m a Jamo fan
Do you keep this energy with all Lions? Like when Za’Darius Smith crawls on the ground and does the eating gesture? Or when Hutch would do his little stinky leg dance after sacks? Or Amon Ra literally doing a headstand that is only supported by his neck? What exactly is Jamo doing that is “too much” compared to everyone else?
If you think Jamo is being over the top, by all means, that’s your right. But let’s make sure we’re applying the same consistency across the board for everyone.
that wasn’t meant as a critique. Brother, I can’t figure out sarcasm to save my life. I have gotten into so many arguments in my life bc i couldn’t. I just know where @Davicus stands on this topic and he doesn’t make illogical arguments.
If coach believes in Jamo why shouldn’t we? I think Dan Campbell has earned more than enough trust from the fanbase so if he vouches for Jamo so do I and so should you guys.
First - if you read my replies you will see that I continually mention that he should be held to the same standard as other players - so you are barking at the wrong dog. Do your research. Second - It is one thing to celebrate a sack or other major impact play. It is another thing to celebrate a 5 yard reception or run that is a siimply one play of many. Thirdly - some of his endzone celebrations put himself at risk of injury and the antics before entering the endzone place the entire play at risk. And yes Gibbs and Ra are guilty as well and should be called out. I get that you are a 100% supporter of everything lions. I am with you almost 100% of the time in your opinions. But stop trying to pick a fight or argue with someone on your side. It makes you more petty and argumentative than someone interested in having a decent discussion. I like almost all of your post. But this is just ignorant.
I just find the whole thing silly. I did the Jahmyr Gibbs to highlight an equivalence for how silly it would be to think any of those things would impact Gibbs performance on the field in the same way that Jamo not going on a podcast or eating ice cream on his McDonald’s or being on instagram at 3am is in any way indicative of how much he loves football. You could argue staying up late could effect Jamo’s performance but he led the team in receiving yards and had a TD that game, so maybe the argument should be he always needs to be up that late. Maybe he’s a guy who only gets 6 hours of sleep a night like me. I don’t know the dude’s circadian rhythm.
It’s just a bunch of old men amateur psychologists trying to decipher the behavior of a young person from a different world by using their own experiences and beliefs. Nothing to see here.
Wrong, they’re humans and actual people first, and football players second.
Probably explains why so many here can’t empathize with the actual human underneath the jersey, because they’re viewed simply as nothing other a box score line or statistic.
It’s 2024 man, you can identify as whatever you want… If anyone disagrees you can call them hateful so, by those standards… You’re young, thin and I’ll even throw handsome in there
Well…I am torn here because my wife calls me her old man…but damn it I am 41 years young…but I am also a psychologist…shiiiiit…I don’t have grey hair yet…and I am not balding…no offense @BigNatty…so i reject the old stuff.
Being unprofessional is nothing new. Unreliable, thinks about self first, in a position of power. That’s like the definition of leaders who bring down empires. And like it or not Jamo is in a leadership position.
Tale as old as time doesn’t matter how low my balls hang
