If Mays does beat him out I’m hoping his play at center gives him the confidence to level his play up at left guard. If he can take over for mahogany at the level he’s playing at now this line goes from good to elite. That’s not guaranteed because mahogany is starting to play better as well. Hank has done an amazing job this year.
Why did we ever argue?
lol.
No you are wrong. Brad is a dud gm…….
i should stop trolling…..but it’s too much fun when brothers like you bring the facts.
Thank you both for saying it because I was looking at the picture and going……”i thought he was black? How out of touch have i been that I thought he was black?”
The list is getting long.
Really have to give it up to BH and his guys. Scruggs was the guy they targeted in trading Montgomery
Teams got a 5th round comp pick when they lost UFAs that made $10-17 million AAV…. and 6th rounders for UFAs lost that got $6-9 million.
Not sure Juice is gonna get us too much of a bean.
.
Seems like it!
True dat!
Houston used a 1st and a 4th on OG’s but the problem is that even if they hit it takes time. Montgomery’s time here changed because even though he played in 3 more games in 2025 his carries dropped by 25% per game he did play in. And that’s even though he had his highest ypc average at 4.5. His time here was definitely aided by a great OL and play calling and that wasn’t likely to be the case esp in Houston. But, he’ll be 30 at the start of next season and, well, he got paid so good for him but I assume he’ll have to redo his deal next season. Maybe not but I really liked him while he was a Lion.

All it takes is one team to give him that golladay contract. Especially if he keeps playing at this level. Plenty of teams still need a good center. We may have two.
Holmes did do a good job on OL. I have to remind myself of that. But all this just screams the question “how did we get here so fast”? This team has endured an insane amount of bad luck, mixed with a suboptimal draft class or two, and a real contender can turn to 4th in division real quick. Now that I’m calming down from the events of Wednesday night, Holmes really did have an insane amount of work to do this offseason…
And who knows, and I pray, he isn’t finished yet.
It’s mostly bad luck.
A great draft class in '24 wouldn’t have saved us last year. Everyone in that class was injured last year, regardless of their talent or lack thereof.
I’m pretty sure he would do better behind our oline but thats exactly the point - it’s less about DMo than some poster suggest
Get a comp 5th or 6th for Juice when he leaves
Trade a 5th or 6th for Douglas We get a CB for now and all we did is slide down to the end of a round
