So the Lions are Honoring CJ during the Monday Night game vs Sea.
I’m debating if I should wear my CJ jersey or if I should wear a current players Jersey.
What would you do?
I would say wear it. The old lions disrespected him. The new lions honored him for all that he did as he gave his body up for the sport and the city.
Since I don’t own an 81 jersey I’ll probably wear 87. But you SHOULD wear CJ!!
If you don’t have a black jersey, then wear Calvin’s jersey.
I think that’s the best answer, assuming we’re talking current players. Don’t be the knucklehead in a black Harrington or Roy Williams jersey.
I DID NOT have a black jersey because I really dislike them. They remind me of the Millen years. Not to mention they’re not traditional. I am a traditional Honolulu Blue guy.
So I wore my Calvin Jersey to the game. But I decided after I got here to buy a black Gibbs jersey. So I went against my morales, broke down and decided to support the Blackout game….
Today is also the #GameonCancer game. I’ve lost two siblings to cancer so wearing black in memory of them just felt right to me. So at least I can justify it to myself.

No I’m a firm believer in wearing Honolulu Blue.
I got emotionally involved in the Blackout theme for the game on cancer and wanted to show respect to those I’ve lost. I likely won’t wear the jersey again until the next one.
I saw lots of Calvin jerseys at the game… I wore my black Gibbs jersey, you were in good company
