Damn.
Boo.
Vaki shoulder… Mahogany not even in the building… Cominsky’s knee. The Money Badgers hammy…
Hopefully it is minor, we also have netflix as rb3 until vaki is ready. But hurts a bit as i was excited to see the swiss army knife
Why the hell do so many guys get injured in camp every year?
And that’s not just here…it’s across the league.
Football violent. Hit smash.
Fortunately Mormons marry multiple shoulders
Always risky to draft Elders. Can be brittle.
Any prospect with Jeffs on the back of the jersey is immediately marked off of the draft board
Forgot about that one. Yikes.
In some ways limiting padded practices makes it worse. They have pajama parties all offseason, OTA’s and the first several days of camp. They by day 5 or 6 here comes the pads and the players haven’t hit anyone in 8 months. Pop, sizzle, crack.
Injuries are part of the game though… it’s football. Just hope nobody really important goes down.
While this is very funny, I still wonder if there’s a reason more guys seem to get hurt in camp than in the regular season.
I also feel like we see more guys get hurt earlier in the season compared to later…specifically with long term injuries like ligament tears.
Guys do tear ACLs late in a season (Hock last year for example), but I feel like we see that injury a lot less the further we go along in the season. I wonder what the reason for that is?
Maybe their knee ligaments and such aren’t stretched out enough at this point. Kind of like a pitchers arm.
Just thinking out loud.
There’s also a lot of those kinds of injuries in training camp, as far as I can tell. We even had one with Cominsky, and we had a muscle tear with Badgley.
The workout exercises we and the rest of the NFL do and the way we and they all practice absolutely has something to do with it. How much is the question.
It is just perception.
There are injuries happening every week during the season in the NFL.
The Lions, and probably every other team, lost more players during the season than they did in camp.
During camp there are a lot more players (90 per team) practicing much more often (almost every day).
During the season there are only 53 players on the team (still less than 70 if you consider the Practice Squad), practice is at most 3 days per week plus game day, and there is little to no hitting in practice.
But during the season on game day players are injured every week.
