I got 2 suh jerseys in closet. Would be nice to wear them again

Relative to his time in Miami, I think you’re remembering correctly.

You’re not misremembering.

There were a lot of fans whining about him and slinging accusations, but that was mostly just hurt feelings. Suh was a total pro. A mercenary, for sure, but a total professional in his preparation and execution.

All that being said, it was a bit of a pipe dream thinking that he could come in and contribute last year. Now, two years removed, I think it’s a non-starter.

What’s the worst that can happen?

I recall Suh and Stafford didn’t like one another. That’s the only locker room issue I’ve heard.

Ndamukong Suh admits his bad attitude caused problems in Miami, says he’s grown since. https://wp.me/pbBqYq-bX2K

  • For all of the problems the Detroit Lions have had already this season, they haven’t had to deal with the distractions that come along with Ndamukong Suh. Last week, Miami had to deal with a controversial play in which Suh inadvertently kicked the helmet off an opposing player. This week, a report was released that Suh ignored defensive coordinator Kevin Coyle’s game plan and freelanced ā€œcreating confusion on the defense.ā€ While the Lions could certainly use Suh’s help right about now, it’s still nice not to have to deal with stories like this on a weekly basis.

Yeah, it looks a little skinny for it to be Suh.

Does Suh really want a ripped up ACL?

I know he’s not available, but the only 37/38 year old DT I would want on the Lions is Calais Campbell. High character and still good at his age - amazing. Oh well, one can dream. Heck of a career for that man.

Watched him quite a bit at the Rams and I do think he matured on and off the field. He realized there was life after football and wanted to position himself to be in with the rich crowd and sought out that notoriety.

As a player for the Rams, he seemed to be making a lot more business decisions with his effort. As he is even older now, I think he’d only want to play for the playoffs. Perhaps he would come to the Lions practice squad now to get in game shape and wouldn’t plan on playing until the playoffs.

This feels like the kind of place he’d love to retire with a SB in hand and be a kind of hero. Not sure he has that in the tank but I’d think he wants that idea.

Assuming Brad saw what I saw at the Rams that Suh only plays when it matters, he may be OK with that in this scenario at the end of the season, but hasn’t wanted him so far knowing the grind the Lions expect. Suh said the Lions haven’t even called for him… they might now…

He looks smaller than before…

Two more weeks until we’re talking about signing Warren Buffett
