Semi - Finals
Nobody is giving cheese enough love. There’s 1,000 things you can do with it, including soup. I will remove the broccoli though but that’s just a personal taste bud preference.
Chili is in legit conversation as a last meal request for me. Absolutely one of my favorite meals. That said - I would classify it as a stew, not a soup. If your chili resembles soup in any way, you’re doing it wrong…
Man it’s getting tough. Of the choices I’d have Chili vs. Cheese soup as my final. It’s like all those old final fours where one semi-final is clearly the real national championship game.
I really would have mentioned Ramen in the original thread if I had known there was going to be followup playoffs threads
I felt that stab to the heart… I felt it.

At least tomato soup is dead. I call that flavorless cardboard pizza sauce.
And thanksgiving soup. Which doesn’t exist. I prefer Father’s Day soup myself.
You’ve never had good tomato soup then bud
And I HATE tomatoes most of the time
Onion soup… comes with cheese on top.
Chili… has cheese added along with sour cream.
Cheese soup is redundant. Get over it already and take your votes back.
The sauce makes the pizza. If that is bland, I won’t be happy.
I shall take my vote back, …as I’m dipping my warm pretzel into Beer Cheese.
I’d walk right by that if it was the only soup at the Golden Coral.
Wrong answer,
I’d walk right by Golden Coral…
We disagree. They had an amazing nacho situation and were one of the last restaurants to have popcorn shrimp which was outstanding.
Tough break for cheese soups as chili/onion/potato are completely transformed by a scoop of shredded cheese.
I even avoid all you can eat buffets of food I like most of the time. There was a really good Asian buffet in Georgia I used to go to. They had nigiri, including my favorite ahi tuna, that I turned into sashimi, by throwing out the rice. I ate a ton of that crap for like $17. They were trying to get you filled up on the rice, but all my rice found the waste basket. Think I was getting a pretty good deal there. But generally speaking, I say no to all you can eat because it’s a bad American idea. Definite no on Golden Corral.
Haven’t done a buffet in 15 years, however I kind of miss a really good salad bar.
So you take a block of cheese, throw it in a bowl inside the microwave, melt the cheese and then slurp it up by the spoonful and call it soup? And then to top it off, you throw some broccoli in there and that somehow makes it better? Why not just throw some beets in there to really put it over the top.
Definitely a world of differing taster buds out there.
