Like the article says, “youd be crazy to bet against him” but man i love his game the way it is right now.
He gets peppered with targets, is the go to reciver and one of the best 3rd down recivers in the league.
It obvi cant hurt to add a dimension to his game i just love what he does now so much.

The question becomes who fills the slot role on 3rd and 7 if he goes deep?
Is JAMO a decoy on the slant? Will any of our TE’s defeat tight coverage.
Personally I love how St Brown is being utilized, I hope he does what’s best for team Detroit!

Going slant with Jamo and slot fade with St. Brown would be really hard to stop if they’re on the same side of the field.
I don’t really blame St. Brown for this. True WR1’s can hit you at all 3 levels and that’s what he wants to be I’m sure. The Lions general philosophy as long as Dan has been here where a player will hit you has generally been dictated by their position. The outside WRs have been burners and the slot receivers and tight ends will be the underneath guys. We’ve clearly had offensive success doing that, but if we want to stay good we have to switch that up eventually.

St. Brown is thinking long term, he’s been labeled a slot WR by most fans/talking heads. And he’s crushing it in that role.
But slot WR’s don’t make huge money in FA. He wants to be a legit #1 option that can run any route at any time, and who could blame him or even doubt him at this point!?
