Stafford playoff record 5-5
Goff playoff record 5-5
Stafford 1-0 in super bowl
Goff 0-1
That might not age well after the season either.
Goff isn’t the issue, for Goff to do better the rest of the team has to first, if WR didn’t drop so many passes and the Oline wasn’t in shambles we wouldn’t be talking about Goff.
LOL - Ya got that right. HATE IT
Nah - I’ll never act like I knew this was coming. I picked us to win like 13 or 14 before the season started. I DO see it as growing pains, for players, for Brad, for Dan, etc.
Dan has been calling the offense as if we have last year’s OL. I DO think we may have at least one or 2 more wins, if Dan just let Fipp and Foxy win games for us.
I don’t know how good Morton is/isn’t intellectually, but I never liked him as a “leader of men". We’ll see how it goes.
I have complete faith in Dan.
I have complete faith in Brad, and that he will adapt (he’s already made a couple of references that suggest growth)
I think we always have a puncher’s chance, because Gibby and Jamo are so freakin’ explosive. I also think it’s gonna be tough to win in the playoffs with this OL.
Well , thats basically what I said I’m not calling for Brads head or do I want that kinda change. I just want him to get better. We have a lot of weapon’s good foundation. This year is a learning year for a lot.
Woah woah what are you doing…that doesn’t count. Only the numbers that lean a certain way!!
I kid I kid…kind of haha
Guys are bringing up Goff stats in big games, so playoff games are considered big games imo, 5-5 is the same as Stafford, I’m not sure what the totals are for those games for each but it might be fun to see those numbers crunched once.
I think he dropped the ball and pretty much set us back a couple of years
Set us back a couple of years from what? The outstanding history he’s built up over his first four years? Because he certainly hasn’t set us back a couple of years from what traditional Lions teams have been. Remember those days? I do. So you really think it’s going to take 2 years to find a couple of Olineman and a mid to upper DE?
Not much of what you and others said before the season started didn’t age well
Well your phone should be ringing off the hook…let them know you’re better at assembling teams than the guy who assembled what ESPN ranked as the number 3 best roster before the season.
The odds are against ANY team winning a Super Bowl, so please don’t pat yourself on the back so hard as a doubter before the season began. Injuries, schedule, officiating, players developing at different speeds, and yes, luck, all play a part.
So let me ask you one question, why did Brad say Were Good when we were obviously not at a couple different spots, he also stated we like who we have ?
This quote is so over and done with. I’m sure your crystal ball told you that Hutch was going to completely disappear for a month too? Brad should’ve read his tea leaves, or better yet had you read them to him.

Did we go backwards this year yes or no, and the issues with the Oline will probably take more then a year to fix , there is not a lot of immediate help out there. So yeah when he over valued that oline and it might be a couple years before these young guys get up to speed and finding a Center will prove to be hard then you think.

Of course because him saying that is just the opposite for what you are selling.

How did that turn out ?
Almost as predictable as every time Jared has a bad game the cockroaches come out of the woodwork. BTW, Stafford has 30 pick sixes since 2009 (dominating all current QBs), while Jared has nine since 2017. Since joining the Lions, Goff has one pick six in the regular season. But yeah, they are the same.
. Also BTW, Brett Favre has the most with 32. If Matt played as long as Brett, he would shatter the record. There’s still an outside chance even if he retires this year.

Your are a funny guy, Matt and Bret have Rings were is Goffs ? Lol oh I know that doesn’t matter to you.
And the cockroaches might be the guys that when Goff has a bad game they feel the need to bring up Stafford picks and bad play as a excuse for it to be ok. Lol, It will never be a good argument because Stafford has won a Superbowl and maybe on his way to another.
Stafford 2,996yds (299.6pg), 66.5%, 19 touchdowns and 6 interceptions, 102.3 QBR
Goff 2,450yds (245pg), 61.2%, 9 touchdowns and 5 interceptions, 85.1 QBR
It’s not even really close. Staffords numbers rise and Goffs fall…both pretty significantly.
The year is 2057. The current den is debating whether Stafford’s grandson can beat Goff’s grandson in an arm wrestling match
I got huge money on Stafford’s grand kid. Mostly because of the pretzel throwing genes

Thanks for crunching those #'s.
So it appears that Goff hasn’t played as well as Matt in playoff games. I don’t know if Goff’s numbers are that bad but clearly Matt has played better.
Stafford needs everything to be perfect.
well, when Matt was QB…he had nothing perfect.
Let me end the debate, or cause new ones? There isn’t a universe were Goff is or has ever been or will ever be better than Stafford and it isn’t close. That includes a lot, if not, most QB’s in the history of the NFL.
