It’s an assumption that’s been made based on these 3 things.

  1. He had a very poor grade for the Lions and it seemed likely he wouldn’t return.

  2. Dan then at seasons end made some comments about what they were looking for at the position and it didn’t describe Anzalone.

  3. Then Anzalone shortly after posted this on social media and it sounded like he was told he wouldn’t be back.

“Despite everything”, like having to endure 13 losses and a tie, maybe?
“Chapter 5 ending”, he’s played 5 seasons.
Yeah, I see what you mean.
Could be taken to mean he enjoyed playing here and would like to come back?
The guy was on the football, every snap. That seems like a Campbell kind of guy.
