I mean… Rakestraw being Injured, Manu not working out, you dont expect TA to throw his career away, Vaki exists…. Just really Mahogs thats shown anything from this class.

Some damn fine corners potentially depending on how the underclassman’s seasons and declarations go. A lot of long fast boundary corner types. Is that your way too early impression as well, @thats2?
On the roster side, the expectation is that if or when Arnold lands on the Commissioner’s Exempt List. A player on that list does not count against the salary cap and still gets paid. He can be at the facility for meetings, workouts, and treatment, but cannot practice or attend games. In effect, it functions as paid leave, and he no longer occupies a roster spot. 6th
The wrinkle is in the bonuses. The clean “doesn’t count against the cap” treatment applies to base salary. Depending on how Arnold’s signing bonus and guarantees are structured and proportioned, the cap picture could look different. That is the detail to watch as this plays out.

No you dont…but it’s Brad’s job not to draft turds…whelp, he may have drafted one of the biggest turds in draft history 
And Rake was injured when he was drafted (again, another Brad specialty it seems)…and I also disliked/questioned going back to back CB’s there when it happened.
i get why we did, but yeah the double CB idea… wasnt super high on at the time (i think I was on a WR train around then lol)

DJ Reed, Rock Ya Sin, Rakestraw, McCreary, Keith Abney and Nick Whiteside. Still solid without Arnold.
The Keith Abney pick looks fantastic right now. The Lions clearly knew about Arnold thus the second team stuff. Why waste first team reps on a guy not long for the team.
Rock Ya Sin was our best CB last season. I’m glad we have that 30 year old for another season

How do we know Rake is even any good/can play? The guys hasnt played football in two years and is made of glass apparently. And corner is not an easy position to just go out there and all of a sudden nail down/excel. Even if Rake is physically able to go…he’s basically gonna be a rookie will more than likely struggle big time. It’s wild people just pencilling him and saying “we’re” good at his slot…

Who is doing this? I think most people are aware we signed Roger McCreary to play NB and drafted Abney on top of that. I don’t think anyone expects anything out of Rake at this point.

I agree, he will need to take his lumps but yeah we need to go get a guy now, its bad.
Ward will be pricey but if Browns are full on tearing it down, makes sense to get him, get two more years left on his deal

Anyway.. it’d be nice to hear that Brad’s been on the phone with CLE trying to land Denzel Ward…but then again, he wouldnt be able to pay Gibbs two years earlier than necessary if so, so I reckon we wont hear anything about that.
