I don’t see him playing as long as Brady, so I wonder who will replace Goff?
Goff’s successor is likely a freshman in high school, maybe even a middle schooler.
I know you’re desperate for Lions talk, but this is probably not going to yield much.
You should just lean into the off-season and start your own butt stuff thread.
I do not see him playing into his 40’s, but I think he plays into his mid-late thirties. I have little belief that his replacement is even in the NFL at this point.
He’s older than he’s ever been.
Well Roger’s is 41 and still playing.
I think it’s safe to assume Goff has at least 5-6 years left in his tank. Probably a lot more.
We’ll just take Jeremiah Smith and bring the wildcat back into the NFL.
Goff isnt’ a player whose strengths are reliant upon strength and/or athleticism. His game is smarts and precision. He’s not gonna lose that aspect of the game. I’m thinking Goff’s career could last longer than most, and I would not be surprised in the slightest to see him play for another 8 years.
8 more years, 3 superbowls and then he’s off to the Hall Of Fame.
(As long as bigfoot doesn’t eat him)
not picking on you bud, but each QB has a different set of circumstances in their lives and a different mind-set as to when they want to call it.
Exactly! Easily 7-10 more years if he wants to. Guys legs go way before their arm talent imo. Goff stays in the pocket where today’s game protects him. Guys like Hurts, Jackson, and Allen use their legs much more and open themselves up to some vicious hits. Not knocking the guys who can run but there’s definitely a risk associated with it.
Goff has that grinch like body.
Don’t really know whose body type he resembles I mean besides the grinch.
I just see him as a lifter or runner.
Maybe jump on the bike play a little hoops.
Usually guys that last are the guys with arm strength like stafford Vinny T Flacco.
And you have no idea what those are for Jared Goff.
I do worry that our option QB’s mobility may wane.
Peyton’s son, Marshall manning. He is currently 13.
We are like at a minimum 7 years early on this kind of talk.
Peyton named his kid Marshall? Cruel SOB. Might need to hire Eminem to come up with an alias.
Present company excluded of course. All Den Marshalls are good dudes with delightful sounding first names.
Lots of f$cking I’d hope. Don’t be the dope that buys the Ferrari and leaves it in the garage, Jared.
Goff got at least 5 more prime years.
Stafford - still high level at 37 (won the SB at 34)
Rogers - all pro at 36
Mahomes and allen are only a few months younger.
Goff has at least 6+ more years of good high level QB play.
Goff is playing himself off the team with every day he ages and he’s already older than he’s ever been, as others have noted.
That said, I do think they buck the trend and instead of looking for a QB from the among Bigfoot prospects, they starting looking looking hard at a werewolf, as they are easier to find and really show up in prime time.
