Nice to see we get another crack at the Ravens in Baltimore

The Baltimore game is the one we’re considering traveling to next year… That or LA. I’ve seen the Stafford Rams play the Lions twice already though, it’d be more for the stadium and city if we pick LA.

Not a chance in hell I’d travel to Philly for a game.

I went to the Lions / Eagles game in 1998 in Philadelphia. I was 13 at the time and my dad instructed us to not wear any Lions gear of any kind. My dad took my 7 year old brother as well.

The coolest part of the experience was that we ended up staying at the same hotel as the Lions so we got to see the team walking out to go towards the stadium. I got to be within a foot or so of Barry (who was my childhood football hero). Little did I know that it would be the last season that Barry would be a Lion.

What impressed me was the number of playoff teams and 9 road games.
They have a lot of confidence in us.

the difficulty level difference in our home and road games is almost comical.

Who do we think we get for the Thursday Night Football season opener?

They probably won’t go with division rivals MN or GB, preferring to keep those later in the season. The networks love the Cowboys, but may not want an opening-night beatdown. Tampa is always a good matchup.

I say Pittsburgh, though. Playoff team we haven’t seen in a while.

So much can change in a year.

There was a lot of hang-wringing when this year’s sked came out. The result? 15-2. Next year we’ll likely be heathier and other teams less so. A lot can happen…

You know, if we have a international game, it will be a “home” game. It’s the only way they could make our schedule harder.
That just what happens when the Lions start winning. The league will tear us down from all sides.
The adversity is far from over. We’re probably going to lose multiple Coaches on top of the toughest schedule in the league.

You know it really would since next season the Lions will have 9 away games and 8 homes games. Taking that down to 7 games in Detroit would truly affect the team. Though with how well the fan base has been traveling, I could see any stadium becoming a “home” game for the Lions.

The only SB team to host a divisional rival for the Kickoff Game has been the New York Giants, and that was over a decade ago.

These days the league prefers divisional games to be later in the year.
