It’s finally here — the one game every year that turns normal adults into unstable emotional gamblers.
The defending National Champs, still undefeated, vs. a Michigan team that actually has something real to play for this season - which already makes this infinitely more interesting than last year.
I was born a Buckeye, lived among Wolverines, root for the Lions, and have therefore accepted that joy is always conditional.
No excuses today. No signs stolen. No conspiracy theories pre-loaded. Just 60 minutes of football that will decide which fanbase becomes insufferable…and which one pretends they never cared that much anyway.
Here’s to a clean game, no injuries, strong drinks, and friendships that will need to be repaired by Tuesday.
We will never be football friends until you admit that OSU & MSU fans have over played the signal stealing card. Still talking about it three years later
Clearly this thread was only created because OP is confident the Buckeyes have a huge upper hand are going to win this game. So congrats on going out on a limb here.
I don’t gamble, but I thought The Game last year showed why you should never bet on a rivalry matchup. They’re often closer than they should be and all it can take is one very unlikely 3rd and long conversion to tip the result.
Also, Ryan Day is probably walking around Ann Arbor with his cheeks clenched so tight that you could use his ass to crack walnuts. This rivalry has been extremely unkind to him.
My suspicion is that Mich losing the two awesome DTs to the draft may be the difference (objectively as much as I can be). But if it snows or something, this game is up for grabs IMO.
