The NFL'S Laurel and Hardy the Derrrr-troit Lions

They just sat there stubborn as a unconcerned mules, holding Lord knows
how many trade down cards and didn’t do crap BUT Crap. Don’t get me
wrong Okuduh is a very good player but with this deep rich in talent draft
he chose to cut off his nose despite our perpetually losing face by saying
you can shove that and no that’s not good enough I don’t just want that pick
or picks. We could have drafted Tua anyway and held him hostage till
somebody wanted him enough to spend what we wanted or keep him for
our self. Simmons, Henderson or Brown with an extra 1st 2nd or 3rd
rounder or two would have helped our talent starved waaay more. Jeff welcome
to Loser-ville. Just Wasted a first rounder because we could have added a first rounder
but we just ran in place, because we had to replace Slay who they literally chased
away. WOW good job…way to show them who we are The Derrrrrr-troit Lions

If you were watching, the reporter said the Lions did not get a single offer, not from Miami, not from the Chargers, not from Jacksonville. I don’t think they were willing to go further out.

You dont believe in media or reporters of any kind.

Well Yoop Quinn must have been lying his butt off because
he kept saying over and over prior to the draft that he’s been
fielding calls since the combine. Maybe he was just playing
poker I don’t know. But I just really needed to vent because
I felt like we were gonna get better value. I counted my chickens
and got let down again…Probably more my fault but wow
and damn damn damn!!

We were all disappointed.

Yeah man on to day 2 hopefully we can do better

Wrong again, I think media of all kinds are the dregs of humanity. All of them need to be interred in re-education camps and indoctrinated like the Chinese indoctrinate them.

I have heard stories of teams having talks up to the start of the draft and then change their mind. So i don’t see how he should be called a liar.

So you do believe the media?

Nope. If they say it is so, I don’t believe it but I offered the reporters input to the op, not you. You can go back to your mother’s basement.

Yeah I guess he could have changed his mind, and if he did
I wish he would have changed it again.

awww I hit a nerve with 40, that’s cute. I think instead of going to my mother’s basement I’ll stay here and call your bullshit.

Actually they didn’t just run in place it kinda seems that way , but Trufant replaced Slay. So if we kept Slay they still would have took Okaduh . Trufant and Okaduh or Slay and Okaduh. Both are tons better then Slay and Melvin. We should have a stong secondary and this is a coverage emphasized system. Makes sense it what they wanna do. Weather it works will see. Still need a pass rush.

I hope it all works out TC. You’re right all three are better than Melvin
but if we could have got some extra picks on top of it, that would have
been cool and ideal, but it is what it is I guess!!

Yeah was hoping to get a extra pic too. Really want Espensa and Taylor. But now can’t get them both now.

Yep exactly

This pick lets Coleman go back as slot CB where he played really well he is not a outside CB.

We got best CB in draft at a position we needed . I I think its true Lions never got a offer to move down an I am glad we stayed in top 10. It will leak if they refused a trade.

Your not moving to 9 for a third rd pick lets be real as much as we wanted extra picks.

You likely could have moved to 9 for rd 3 pick an league would have laughed at the GM an most of you anti GMs would have said we could have got more… See this attitude every day in Major Media

I posted about this a long time ago. The smart move is to draft Tua and hold him hostage and trade him for a ransom. That’s how any GM in the NBA would play it.

Alas, our front office is not smart. It is scared and cautious and very content with going 9-7.

Maybe we can find some redemptive magic tomorrow…I ain’t giving up
I’ve endured this long.
