It’s not that bad. There are worst teams managing to get by with bad pass blocking. According to PFF the Rams have worse pass blocking than us yet they’re still a playoff team. Honestly I think if you’re QB is gonna be a statue he has to have good pocket awareness or be good at reading defenses pre-snap. Goff is not good at either.

Here we go with all the blame in one place,

that is a ture fan perspective. We got bad because of multiple reason. From OC to Oline to DLine to sloppiness all over to the DC to Dan being Play caller.
Most of all Brad Holmes overvaluing his players. To sitting on 20 million when your roster is Swiss cheese. Alot of blame to go around, if you think just fixing the Oline is all that needs to be done Wednesday will be talking about this again next year.

Im just telling the truth. Getting the ball out faster, reading defenses pre-snap, and pocket movement are things that can help mitigate poor pass blocking. Goff is poor at all three of those facets.

If qb has less than a second none of that would do any good. I guess you can put him in shotgun all the time.. wait that takes a center who can snap shotgun. That showed to be a problem yesterday. Heck any snapping was a problem. You also need time for the receivers to get separation. They have few times that the line protection was long enough for even short routes.

Well either Goff is poor at it or someone is poor at understanding what he is seeing on his tv screen. I suspect it is the latter not the former.

I was just looking for a ranking i posted a couple weeks ago that had Bears Rams and Denver as the top three overall rated Olines

Matches the eye test too. We lost an all pro center a pro bowl guard replaced them with rookies and a journeyman who is at the end of his career. Our LT has been playing witn a bad shoulder all year and Sewell has been hurt too

Add in that our top two TEs are done, who are often used to buffer an Oline and you have a recipe for disaster

I’ve seen the Rams recently ranked as either the number one or number two overall offensive line. There is no way they could be ranked 26th in pass protection and have an overall ranking of second place. Not possible. Unless they’re running for 400 yards a game.
