That penalty on line man on 1 st and goal says all , easy 10-point lead to 7 point lead, then saints came back ,no need for penality there , I’m questioning the intelligence of our team as overall

Bad penalty. 1st and goal at 1. You get beat, then it’s 2nd and goal from 3. Instead, tackle him and it’s 1st and goal from 11 and then Petzing call 2 absolute shitbomb stinker calls on 2nd and 3rd

The offense could have scored many more points. Penalties and a couple of unlikely drops, that can be fixed.
Defense looked good in the 1st half, but NO figured Shep out in the 2nd. I am hoping it can be fixed also, but I am not as optimistic.

People got mad at me during the off season for saying this but I stand by my earlier statement. This is an 8-9 or 9-8 team. Most likely we miss the playoffs again or we back in as the 7th seed and go one and done. The “easy” schedule isn’t going to help. The defense sucks and Gibbs is not a 30 carry back. He will be on IR by week 7. We simply did not improve and the rest of the division did. 1-5/2-4 in division and 8-9 or 9-8 overall.

Spare me with the “overreaction” chit here, we responded to what we witnessed a sloppy ass game and team that pulled off a miracle win in OT. We had a 21 to 0 lead and lost all of it Jamo had some last second epiphany on how to catch a football at the last second, OR we would-have lost the game we deserved to lose. don’t act self righteous.
Issue is we didn’t fill depth with decent players, remember the injury patterns in defense in the last two years ,then it will be difficult to watch the team
Take away from this game ,don’t play against good teams ,we will get injured, we need players to beat mediocre teams
Holmes is a spy to make us back like Cleveland Browns
The problem starts and ends with MCDC and Holmes and honestly brings into question if Sheila wants to win or needs to win.
Shep was 100% not ready to be a DC.
If Sheila was passionate about winning, like needed it to breathe then Flores would be making twice what he is now at either the Lions or Minny.
And the main reason I put this on MCDC is because as soon as the OC has 3 bad quarters Dan is calling plays and firing the OC. But the DC is allowed to put out crap defenses game after game and nothing is ever done.
I will give this 2 more games before I go full nuclear on getting rid of Shep. But this was so predictable. The real issue is the Lions have 2-3 easy wins lined up now and this will allow MCDC to convince himself it is getting better. Shep is bottom half and maybe bottom 5 DC in the NFL. I really wish he would make me look like an idiot for saying that 
agreed. the defense is markedly worse than last year, thru injuries and scheme.
the rest of our division has a real shot at sweeping us. I mean both the vikings and packers did last year and we were better than we are this year.
Chicago is going to make the bills game look like a tight struggle.
We were last place last year, and are worse roster wise this year.
There are no easy wins. Only games that happen to turn out easier than others.
At this point the lions are not one to talk about playing “easy” teams. Buffalo had an “easy” time last night!
