Yeah, to be honest, will he ever play again?
Are there guys in the NFL that have had this procedure?
I think the lack of range and mobility in the neck would not even allow you to even play again. Those screws come out and get driven into your spinal cord and its game over.
Chris Spielman had this done (I’m pretty sure it was after he retired though)

I seem to recall he was in Buffalo, and I think he played another season after that. My memory is swiss cheese at best, so

I’m sure everyone is going to do medical evaluations on this, but the fact that he’s still being mocked on every major board tells me that he’ll be suiting up for someone in the future.
I love the intensity and demeanor this kid plays with. When you watch the tape, you can see his love for the game.
This is a man who wants to play.
