The Value of Continuity

“There are alot of moving parts on an NFL team.”

I remember back in the day the 2K football video game captured some of those “moving parts” in a cool way. In Madden every single young player gets better, so long as you play them. They go UP in a somewhat predictable way in rating, and then once they get older and start going down…they do it in a relatively predictable way. Basically, you know what you are getting from each player the following year most of the time…so you can plan ahead. In 2K they introduced the concept of UP and DOWN years. So you could be coasting along with a guy that is at a certain rating each year, and then BOOM, suddenly his rating does a sizable drop or increase. Sometimes it would go back to how it was after the year, and sometimes it would track from that point. I thought it was a cool little feature that spiced things up.

This is a legitimate positive that no one has pointed out. Can’t take that away from him.

I know your frustrated bro, I am as well…my feelings for staying the course is I feel like right now both firing him and keeping him leave us with a great unknown and I’m more comfortable with giving him another year and testIng that unknown of can he get it right rather then testing the unknown of can we bring in a new HC/GM who will get it right…

Its funny, because if Bevell sucked the same people who won’t give him credit for the move would be giving him the blame
