That game was amazing. Props to Cape Verde for that game and their run.
The overhead shots of some of these stadiums with all the colors is amazing. Looking at the shots from the Columbia/Ghana game. Holy shit!!
Alas they will almost certainly need a new keeper.
Thought this game would be much better than it was.
Yeah Columbia kinda dominated. Either Ghana had no business making it that far, or Columbia is the business.
My college roommate and I were going to try to go to the France-Paraguay gane today but the tickets are actually ■■■■■■■ insane.
How much we talking?
Like $900 get in.
Go watch at a bar and have dinner and drinks, and buy a round for the whole place for that money.
We’re not going unless it gets to $200 before kickoff.
You obviously need a better NIL deal from Bama… they cheapskated you
Canada 0-0 at halftime vs heavily favoured Morocco. 6 yellow cards handed out so far and I sense more are coming. Canada needs that first goal. Easier said than done
Michael Oliver always card happy
Morrocco 1-0 with early goal in 2nd half. Plus another yellow for Canada.
3-0 final Morocco over Canada. All goals in the 2nd half. Skill level difference was apparent. Mexico and USA now holding the torch for the host teams.
Lots of good games to come. Mexico vs England comes to mind.
Alphonso Davies not being able to come on hurt them a lot. Was hoping when it was 1-0 he might come on and make it interesting.
That was a very different game but I enjoyed it. Paraguay employing the dark arts and its up to France to overcome it, which they did. Not every touch is a foul as this is a contact sport.
Canada created lots of chances in the first half, but came up empty. They needed to capitalize to have a chance to hold off the Moroccans. Especially without Davies and Kone.
Still a good showing overall. Soccer might have a future in Canada.
