This year

Lifetime Lions fan. That will never change. The thing that bothers me the most about this year is the fact that there isn’t really a dominant team like past years. I’m not sure what moves could of, or should of been made, but it definitely feels like a missed opportunity. I’m not so sure that going all in is the wrong approach to take. Anyways, love this board and will always love the Lions.

Agreed. Last year too. The league has been wide open for the taking, never more so than this season. Unfortunately, the rest of the league has figured out how to stop our offense and Dan is clearly out of answers. We need some fresh blood and fresh ideas on that side of the ball. But the bigger problem is Brad. Whether he’s gotten too high on his own supply, too rigid in his approach, I don’t know. But this roster was not clearly not ready to compete with the best in the league this year, on either side of the ball. This was obvious to everybody outside that building, especially as our direct competitors in the NFC kept making moves to get better while we stood pat. It’s like he thought the Lions had arrived and would just stick around at the top of the league without having to fight for it. You can’t preach to players that they have to treat every snap like it might be their last, while the front office keeps passing on opportunities to make moves to put us over the top.

I mean, there are dominant teams, they’re just New England and Indy, again, and, we’re burnt out on them.

Indy has 1 less loss than the Lions….
and has played a soft schedule.

Colts have 2 wins against teams with a winning record.

The Patriots have indeed looked good….
but only PLAYED against 3 teams with winning records.

.

Those 2 teams have definitely benefited from weak schedules.
