Despite the record and underachieving I can’t actually remember a time in my 50+ years of following this team that we had soooo much depth coming up through the minors… looking at the score card each night and seeing so many rookies starting… the future looks bright.

okay…so should we be rooting for losses now? Hell if I understand the baseball draft. Are we trapped into a slot or do we actually get a better pick the more we lose? I take it we still have a chance to lose this one?

It’s just like the NBA now. At least very very similar. The worse your record the better your lottery odds are.
We have only been in the lottery one time. In 2023 we had the 6th slot, but did well in the lottery and moved up to #3. That was the year we drafted Clark and McGonigle.
BTW we are in the 6th slot as of right now.
