Tigers vs Angels; May 1-4

I’m with you. The Angels have always been a thorn in the Tigers’ side for as long as I can remember

Soriano, who we are facing today, last 3 starts 14 innings 11 runs 30 baserunners. Skub pitching, so lets get up early and let him cruise for 6-7innings

Trout on the IL with “bone bruise” in his knee he had repaired last year. Possible its a small fracture…but yeah that guy should demand a trade.

To us for RF.

Is Devers from Boston still wanting to be traded?

I’d be all over that.

  1. Incoming passioned speech by @frm710 telling you and I why we he’s not a fit.
  2. I’ve been willing that trade into existence for almost five years now.
  3. Boston would never trade him, no matter how much he whines.
  4. We would never trade for that contract.

Considering what this team looked like a year ago today, it’s insane how good this team truly is.

So much credit to go around to, not just a total team effort, but an entire organizational effort.

The California Angels days. I was a little cub back then so I always called the “The California Raisins”… :joy:

Still need a constant bat in this lineup. Not worried about the pitching. He hasn’t hit great this year so there is a chance. Perfect 3 hitter.

  1. Bregman keeps this season up… He is opting out. Devers back to 3rd base. Bregman finally gets his 5+ year long term deal he has always wanted.

Bregman’s production is going to fall off if he leaves Fenway. That park was made for him.

So was Houston’s. The Crawford Boxes are real close in left.

Also Bregman has 5 homers and 12 rbi’s on the road this year. Only 2 dongs at Fenway.

The old contract year and being able to opt out is big. He’s motivated.

Apparently Trout to the injured list again… So setting up well for the Tigers.

Devers may be one of the worst fielding 3b in modern history. He is a DH, really. Who, now, is just coming out of an ugly slump.

He is also left handed, so he overlaps Carpenter and is paid 30 times more. Carp will need to move to DH if Parker is healthy and a long term guy because Max Clark. Also Briceño is coming.

Dont like the fit. Like Tucker much better and he only costs $ not assets.

Agreed on Devers… Just a terrible 3rd basemen. You’d think he would try to move to 1st at some point.

If Vlad gets 500 mill playing a non important position. What does Tucker get who plays an important position? Gotta be 600 million? Maybe more. Tucker can also run.

Not my money not my problem.
They got 40m coming off that 25 isnt at all playing and 15 that is fine but we have 3 guys in the pipe for 2b. 550/12 is $45.xm.

Other cuts and contract drops are $35m more.(Flaherty Kahnle+ scrubs) There’s Skub’s Lifetime Tiger deal

Organic increases are like $20m for the rest of the roster.
