First pitch: Monday-Tuesday – 7:45 p.m.; Wednesday – 1:15 p.m.
TV/radio: Monday-Wednesday – FanDuel Sports/97.1
Probables: Monday – TBA vs. RHP Sonny Gray (4-1, 4.50); Tuesday – LHP Tarik Skubal (4-2, 2.67) vs. RHP Erick Fedde (3-3, 3.44); Wednesday – RHP Jack Flaherty (2-5, 4.44) vs. RHP Andre Pallante (4-2, 4.11).
Tigers: This is Keider Montero’s spot in the rotation. Manager AJ Hinch will likely decide after the game Sunday whether he wants to use an opener ahead of Montero, like he did against the Red Sox last week. Montero wound up pitching 3.1 innings (62 pitches) after Tyler Holton in that game.
Gray, Cardinals: He’s coming off a clunker in Philadelphia (seven runs, three home runs in 3.2 innings) but at age 35, he’s still a lot to deal with. He’s bringing seven pitches to the party, relying heavily on his 92-mph sinker and sweeper (.127 opponent average, 34% whiff rate). He will also attack with curveballs, cutters and changeups off his four-seamer. He will also mix an occasional changeup to lefties.
The White Sox had a lot to do with that last year. I think 3 teams made it. Almost 4.
White Sox won 10 games last year vs AL central teams. 10 wins… Lost only 42 games. Lmao they deserve a lot of credit for having 3 playoff teams last year. And they aint much better this year.
But did Marshall show up like he did last night in the D? Hope you had a great time, I just wanted to talk about Em showing up in Detroit last night lol
Play .500 baseball and destroy the White Sox in 13 games you could make the playoffs. It used to be even worse. Now it’s way fewer division games. Imagine getting to play the white sox 18 times like it used to be. Or playing Colorado 18 times.
I had to laugh at this from the article, obviously geography isn’t a strong suit of Oliver.
Oliver said that there were a number of good reasons the SeaWolves were picked, but the main reason was that the Erie SeaWolves play baseball nowhere near the sea. “Which, yeah, that’s a problem, Erie. We can help you fix that,” he said.
