That’s more where I’m at.

I’ll take the Jays along with the Tigers, but only because they come along with Boyd.

We all have to make sacrifices for our pals.

Win just 1 for the gipper? Sure, as long as it’s not against the Tigers. They’re plus 12 runs scored on the year though, so smoke and mirrors is my take.

That does indicate a certain amount of luck.

Clark, McGonigle, and Briceño all called up to AA Erie.

They’re going to be must watch TV with Liranzo already there.

That’s a matter of opinion. :joy:

It was a fun game though.

Curious if Anderson and Liranzo go up to Toledo now.

You do realize that the Nats got to face starting pitchers named…

Holton.
Flaherty.
Enns.

That would be a reliever day…
a guy struggling for most of the year…
and a guy that went ~ 4 years stuck in the minors.

Oh… and that was a road trip as well….

and the Tigers also led the 2nd game after 7 innings… :man_shrugging::man_facepalming::open_mouth:

.

They didn’t face Mize or Skubal……

Do you relize they are still bottom team. So i could care less who are what they pitch against.

Tigers took on sp who era was close to 5

Ill give them gore, but bp blew that. So are excuses are kinda lame and dumb

Good baseball teams lose to bad baseball teams, it happens, nothing to fret over.

Would be a cool story and an amazing achievement by him…

Cleveland – Not every potential American League All Star will know his fate Sunday night.

Zach McKinstry, who finished just behind Boston’s Alex Bregman in the fan voting at third base, should be near the top of the list of injury replacement candidates.

Bregman has been out since May 23 with a quad injury. Red Sox manager Alex Cora indicated that he could be back as early as Monday.

Whether the Red Sox would still hold him out of the All-Star Game remains to be seen.

More: Tigers’ Tyler Holton tapping into his ‘inner psychopath’ and producing shutdown innings

Tampa’s Junior Caminero would also be a prime candidate to replace Bregman but McKinstry could be an answer almost anywhere on the diamond.

“Super cool, obviously,” McKinstry said. “And if they don’t, I get to hang out for a couple of days and be on the lake. Whichever one, I’ll be happy with it.”

Do you realize that a very few teams win 100 games in a season???…

which is equivalent to winning 5 out of every 8 games played.

The best teams in the MLB barely win over half of their games!!!

The Tigers nearly won 2 of those 3 games….

so why must there be pissing and moaning about losing a close game???

.

You made a excuse why they lost. I came back with they played a no one sp tigers couldnt score and had a lead till the bp came in. So they missed Skubal and mize. Whats the excuse going to be in the playoffs then if they cant beat a bottom team in regular season? Well we lost Because Skubal and mize only pitched one game.

Oh i didn’t know that.

That’s NOT an excuse… that’s an analytical view of the series.

.

They nearly won 2 out of 3 games on the road.

It happens. Get real.

You did though. You said who they had pitching against them. That is a excuse. I mean others were shocked they lost against Washington. Why not give them the same excuse or you just like to troll me?

I hate to tell you this… but it certainly matters WHO is pitching.

The Tigers will win a SIGNIFICANTLY higher percentage of games when Skuabl and Mize start the game…. versus the guys that started in Washington.

That isn’t an “excuse”….

that is a FACT based on their ability and execution.

JEESUS…… how is that difficult to comprehend???

The Tigers are 24-8 when Skubal or Mize start the game.

The Tigers are 33-26 when “other” pitchers start the game.
