Not enough people talk in the hockey threads to justify a new thread for every week for hockey. When I did weekly ones, I was literally 50%+ of the posts in all 3 of the weekly ones I started before I quit because no one else is interested talking hockey. There is literally a thread where a chunk of is just @Bols and I going back and forth for 27 posts. What’s the point, we could just DM each other. If you go through the old threads, there are so many instances of me posting 2, 3, 4 times in a row - especially during the games, because I’m the only one watching apparently.
If someone wants to go through the trouble of making a weekly Wings thread like frm does for the Tigers, go for it. But I have no interest in running a weekly echo chamber for myself. IMO, a first-half, second-half, and offseason thread more than fills the need for the amount of conversation the Wings garner here. Obviously that will change if they actually do something (like happened with both the Tigers and Pistons), but until then…meh. Not worth the effort.
