One thing I appreciate about Hinch and Harris is that if Flaherty has another performance like this his next time out, they’ll be looking for other options until he get’s fixed…his leash will be short after today, even with Mize on the 15 day DL. When’s Cobb coming back? Not saying he’s the answer, but if this is gonna be Flaherty, Cobb may have a starting rotation slot all setup for him…

Well the last couple of games the starters have gone 6, 8, and 7 innings so pen should be somewhat fresh for tonight.

Im gonna talk about lengthening the lineup since we have all seen Flaherty probably isnt right body or mind.
Its the 4th Oh Shit guy in your lineup that tips the scales. Ohatni, Freeman, Betts…oh shit, they got Teoscar coming up too? Then 3 guys that can hurt you after your 4…Muncy, Will Smith and then their hot hand du jour all last year.
The difference between an Oh Shit guy and the meh to less than meh guy he crowds out is a big deal.
We have 3 right now that pitchers dont wanna face, 3 that can hurt you (Parker, Keith, Vierling) and 3 that at least had/have some bat profile in their past (Baez, Dingler, Sweeney)
That 4th guy…Tucker, Bregman etc…as much as I hope we have one in the minors between Briceno or Liranzo (as Max amd McG for me profile as good Can Hurt You guys only), w emay not.

Also, I’m happy that we are playing the Rangers while Vierling is hurt so the Jung family can see both guys in a MLB uni, because Jace aint gonna be up much longer and he looks like he will struggle to get back w/o an injury or trade.
He’s a full 24 too. 4-34 w no xbh? SSS but that is a season long ticket to Toledo
