Baz, Rays: Riley Greene doubled and homered off Baz in Tampa on June 20 but he still punched out six in 5.1 innings. He features an electric 96-97 mph four-seamer and a ground-ball inducing knuckle-curve. He’s got a 50.6% ground-ball rate this season and gets significant swing-and-miss with four different pitches (four-seam, curve, changeup and cutter).

Tigers: Manager AJ Hinch has not named a starter. It’s possible he could use an opener in front of a couple of bulk relievers.

Flaherty needs to get on it. We didn’t bring him back to pitch like crap.

He struck out the last 7 batters he faced in his last outing.

I’m really hoping that he figured something out, and that it wasn’t just a fluke.

Can I just say here that putting Yusei Kikuchi on an all star team makes me question reality?

It does. He has 3 wins and a 1.35 WHIP. His FIP is 3.8.

Mize crushes him everywjete except Ks, and yes I get that all the teams need an all star. But. Not that guy.

TBH, Julio doesnt deserve it either. Sub 700 OPS. Cmon. And I’m a Julio Honk

Mize over Kooch… But Kooch at least has thrown over 100ings with a sub 3 era…Julio has an ops below .700 that one is iffy, very iffy. Julio’s reputation and media coverage is way better than the player on the field. His 2024 season was nothing special either.

Would offer the farm system for Skenes? Tigers are pretty young already. Think about Skubal, skenes, and mize.
