It’s not like a good defense would even help you that much in that ballpark. As long as you have a rangy CF (which we do) and high whiff rate pitching, you can put literally whoever in defense in Coors.

Whats the biggest need for this team. I would say 3b. I know Vierling is coming back, but i think the Tigers need to upgrade him.

Honestly… If they keep it up. Nothing. Tigers are 5th in home runs hit and 6th in team OPS. That is incredible based off the payroll. And the pitching is dynamite. Staying healthy is the biggest obstacle. So I would look to add arms at the deadline… Cause pitchers arms always fall.off.

Our rotation is:
- Skubal
- Webb
- Bryan Woo
- Shane Beiber
- Lance Lynn (never actually plays for us)
And we have Clase, Jose Alvarado, and Ben Joyce as our big bullpen arms.
I really have no idea how all of these guys fit within the ROCKIES payroll, but that really goes to show you how bad they’re mismanaging their money.

But the trade has to be right, I think Jung will hit and like with the others he needs the opportunity to do so in Detroit. I don’t think he has much to prove in AAA anymore.
to me SS is the biggest weakness for this season, but, can Hinch continue to pull the right levers every night? then maybe little is needed.
I still don’t trust McKinstry to be a full time player.
With all due respect they are the best team in the AL right now… Everyone wants another bat. Except maybe the Dodgers. The problem is finding one without giving up a kings ransom.
If the Tigers do add a bat…hopefully he can play in the field some and not just dominate the dh spot. Hinch is terrific at managing days off for guys and using the dh.
