So I can’t speak to whether Workman is actually available to play given that he was just called up today, but if he is available, why is Zach Short in the lineup? Workman has played mostly at third but has played shortstop quite a bit in his career.
Not much, that’s why it was called a worthwhile gamble.

Workman was moved to the 40man roster this afternoon and is now on the active Detroit roster.
No idea on Short, was a weird addition, then cut, then resigned. just weird and made little sense.
