I would also be a lot less mad if they were just playing good baseball and losing games that way.
Like, when they got swept by Arizona, I wasnât happy but I was pretty calm. Other than the bullpen collapse (which is unfortunately part of baseball), I didnât think they played poorly.
This soon-to-be four game losing streak (again) has contained some truly awful baseball.

I would offer up Greene and Tork to any takers. Carpenter I would keep. Not because he is that great. But because he doesnât piss me off as much.

And since Riley and Carp are basically the same type of player, it would be nice to free up that roster spot for another right handed bat that could actually hit/make consistent contact

That qualifying offer to Gleyber is looking pretty sus.
390 on base is huge. His bat is crap right now, but he is doing his job getting on and seeing pitches, maybe a bit too passive. Too soon, and an overpay for 1 year for sure unless he re-finds his power from 2018/19, 22/23

this team isnât just built well offensively. the one thing that impresses me about the rookie is his swing adjusts constantly, heâll swat at the ball. too many dudes just do the same swing for âexit velocityâ or angle or whatever. hence, strikeouts.
