Canāt really hit. Canāt field. Ok base runner? You wouldnāt pinch run him for someone. Not great command of the strike zone.
He has positional flexibility and bats right handed?
Perez is forcing his way back onto the team and I think maybe Vierling should be the one who goes down.
Iām also realizing that Jahmai Jones is never repeating his numbers from last year, because if he was that good of a player then he wouldnāt have been available to us like he was.

Itās also worth noting that we are 3-1 when Skubal and Valdez pitch and 1-5 when anyone else pitches.
Iām a game or two away from pressing the panic button for the first time this season.

That was why I had him not making the team as last year was an outlier for him and wasnāt sure he could repeat it.

Itās a marathon not a sprint. The bottom of our pitching staff does have to pitch better but almost every staff in the league will be inconsistent in the bottom of their rotation.

I guess thereās no way weāll continue to be that bad in games our 3, 4, and 5 starters pitch, but lack of starting pitching depth was an issue last year. Valdez has obviously helped that a lot, but past him Iām not sure how much change we should expect.
Iām overreacting with āpressing the panic button.ā I shouldnāt have said that. I just want us to clean up some of the mistakes weāre making that are costing us baseball games at the moment. Errors, baserunning mistakes, two out nobody on and giving up runs, etc.
