Tigers vs. Yankees 6/22-6/24

Skubal has given up 2 hits, both homeruns to Goldschmidt. The rest of the Yankees are 0 fer.

Strikeout #9 belongs to Goldy.

I’m hoping Skubal returns to form soon and the Tigers can get a sizable return for him when they trade him. Not because I don’t think Skubal is great but the cost to the Tigers to retain him and his impact on this team doesn’t make financial sense.

He isn’t far away. He only gave up 4 hits tonight and his velocity is back all the way.

He is missing his spots too much though and missing right down the middle. Hence the three homeruns.

I’m thinking he would have benefited from another start or two at AAA. I think he might have rushed back too soon.

Skubal wants out.

I’ll help him pack then…just hope Scahht has the chops to actually get good value back. My trust level of DET gm’s not shitting their pants and smelling their own wafted stew when it comes to trades and adding/evaluating pro pro personnel, is, as the kids say, deeply, deeply “sus”
