TJ Hock - kind of neat data here

T.J. Hockenson continued to climb in his third season. His receptions per game have now gone from 2.7 to 4.2 to 5.1 per game to open his career while his targets have climbed from 4.9 to 6.3 to 7.0 per game.

Hockenson was targeted on 20.5% of his routes (10th) and seventh in expected points per game (11.7) before being forced to miss the final five games of the season due to a hand injury.

He should really get 6-8 catches a game, lean toward 8. he’s a good weapon that we really don’t use properly. but then again that might change with the new OC.

There will be more weapons this year than there have been in his career so far. Ball distribution will change, but the plays he gets will be bigger plays than they used to be as well.

well if we run the offence that goff loves and needs, play action, hock should be a direct threat for that. People give goff crap but he’s actually pretty darn accurate, he just can’t throw the 100mph laser.

8 catches a game would be the most catches by a tight end in NFL history. At 6 catches a game its close to top 10 seasons all time.

Hock has all the talent and skill to be a very good TE, just gotta stay healthy and be available. Finished 2 of his 3 seasons on injured reserve.

Injury free - I’m hoping for 1000 yards!!

I’m hoping Hock remembers how to block well.

He went from having draft analysts brag him up as a blocker to whiffing on quite few blocks last year. He’s capable… so just needs to clean it up.
