Not really, came across as another one of those: “Oh look what Brady does, I think (insert high priced Lions player) should do the same.” My bad, if that’s not the case.
Bortles increased the amount of his guarantees while the Jags bought time to find his replacement. They can spin it as following Brady’s model, but c’mon. He got a gold necklace in lieu of an engagement ring.
