The thing is you have little chance to improve, with pics you have a chance at a st brown, vet min vets are exact that . It’s like saying uncle.

I think this is a symptom of “educational inflation” - too many jobs requiring advanced degrees, so now you have far more people in graduate programs that require publication, so this kind of crap just proliferates.

I agree, Dr Love. I’ll even go as far as saying, having so many highly educated individuals walking around in our society is detrimental to the world we live in.

I just love the confidence. It interests me how people sitting at home can so assuredly and undeniably state as though it’s a proven fact that they know more than a guy who’s actually in the room and has built a fantastic roster via the draft. Just sayin.

Based on draft performance from 2020–2025, the Detroit Lions, Kansas City Chiefs, Baltimore Ravens, Philadelphia Eagles, and Houston Texans are widely considered the top drafting teams. The Lions lead in rookie value produced, while the Chiefs and Ravens consistently find high-impact talent despite lower draft picks.

That study is fundamentally flawed.

Any value system simply must asymptote to zero. This is because the value of a draft pick - the odds and quantification of “success” - must be in relation to that of UDFAs.

The fact that some of their metrics retain more than 1-2% of their value at the end of the draft renders any conclusions drawn moot.

They also make flawed measurement decisions like taking a player’s career performance into consideration rather than just his contribution to the team that drafted him.

I know I’m being a party pooper to Team Always Trade Down, but I’ll need to see a lot more convincing data than this to be convinced that teams aren’t “about right” in their valuation of picks.
