I saw a Cardinals roster projection today that had Trey Benson getting cut from the Cardinals in favor of Love, Conner, Bam Knight, and Tyler Allgeier. I’m not sure they would actually cut him, but he is low on the depth chart. I think he would be a big upgrade to RB3, and maybe even be our RB2 (I’m not certain Pacheco is the answer). He also has familiarity with Drew Petzing. I wonder if there is an end of roster guy that we are going to cut that we could trade to the Cards for Benson. Or maybe a 6th for 7th round pick swap. What do you guys think?

I brought this scenario up right after the Love pick. I’d kick the tires.

I wish they’d just let Conner go. He’s much more similar to Allgeier than Love or Benson, I have no idea why they brought him back (or why he agreed). They’re poorly run so it’s likely they told him they weren’t drafting Love, or at least hadn’t considered it yet, but still. Free the man! He’s a much better fit with us than Benson.

Is it me or does it seem more plausible that they would have to trade one of these other guys that are ahead of Benson? The room was considered crowded when it was just Connor and allgier now with love that’s a lot of mouths to feed

I think this is the most likely scenario
In fact, I expect Lions to trade for him like we did Tim Patrick.
