Woah. This guy is so f’cking talented. Light bulb keeps flirting with going on and then burns out. Lynn stood him up a good bit whether on the outside or mugging him up.

I suggested him in the 6th round. Came into 2025 looking like a day 2 pick. He can stick if he puts it all together.

I think Altmyer has a chance to stick as well. Not a real toolsy guy but he will bring his lunch pail and he knows how to command a huddle and direct an offense.

Yeah he doesn’t have a great arm, but he definitely has an “I know what I’m doing” vibe when leading an offense and going through his progressions.

His pass rushing profile is interesting. You can kind of squint and dream on it a bit. Just 2025 USC. He’d been bad before that.
So Pressure rate and QB hurries are elite. His finishing was terrible which dragged everything down. Fix that and you may have something.
I agree he looks like he has 1st round talent but in 2025 he really got pushed around and did not have any answers. The reason he is here instead of a day 2 pick.
Hold on…. Let’s say hypothetically our roster is a bit better next offseason, and we have less roster spots…
Would trading up, having one less draft pick to pay, and then paying 3 top udfas make more sense?

Yep. He’s an off the bus guy for sure. Both he and Shelby are that way and then they’re just okay.
So the Tarzan/Jane risk is significant.
Clearly our brass preferred “the tech kid” though or they would have drafted those other guys. Plus you open up the free for all aspect, some guys may choose other teams because the depth chart at their position looks thinner. Miami has holes everywhere which is why I suspect they’re so appealing to these guys
