I think Minshew is an ideal vet backup. Lots of starting experience, you don’t want him starting long term but to fill in for a few games in case of injury. A lot worse options out there. See Tim Boyle and Sudafed

Bridgewater would be a good option, if he’s up to it.
The Vikings best option is Kirk Cousins if Kirk is willing to come in and compete for the job.
It’s a no brainer.
Falcons have to cut him first, and as of now it appears they won’t. I mean it’s the difference between having him as a $35M backup or having a $25M cap-hit hole on their roster, most fans think they’ve decided it’s not worth the $10M in savings to cut him. Especially since Penix is still so cheap. Which is why they haven’t done it yet.
