Yea they struggled for sure… Then again they were on the field the whole game. The Vikes could barely get a 1st down.
Time of possession was like 40 mins to 20. The score was kind. It could have been a 50 point loss

Darnold probably was looking for a starting spot after last season and the Vikes wanted to move on to JJ. Even though that decision looks pretty sus.

I think Kwesi was thinking O’Connell was the mastermind. And if he can fix Darnold, he can surely get the most out of a 1st round pick QB
The big issue is that oline though. Darrisaw is the big one. He blew his acl last year and is still limping around on a surgically repaired knee. He was playing very well before the acl tear.

The Right tackle O’Neill was out last night too with a sprained MCL. So both starting tackles out with knee problems. Good luck to any QB. Wentz might be in the hospital right now. He was getting lit up every snap.

I know the injuries aren’t the same as Darrisaw had both ACL/MCL damage (I think), but makes you appreciate how fortunate we are to have Alim back and doing as well as he is (I know it’s only 1 game, but still). Fingers crossed for good health the rest of the way.

After last week against the Bucs, if they dont get like 3 or more sacks against the Vikes that would be not the greatest sign in the world with how beat up the line is and Mccarthy coming back on a Bum ankle.

Vikings run defense seems to have really fallen off. Thursday night games are pretty hard on the road team as well. Chargers had 191 yards rushing to the Vikings 18 yards in the 4th quarter…ouch.
